Warranty / Terms and Conditions

Optomistic Products believes in test – in fact, we test each and every product before it is shipped to a customer, and we maintain test records and track each serialized product.  Optomistic Products warrants all material free from original manufacturing defects. If an original defect is found, Optomistic Products, at its option, will rectify the defect by either repair or replacement at no charge.  All products are warranted for one year after delivery.  In no case shall Optomistic Products be liable for consequential or special damages.

Returns under Warranty  

Items returned under Warranty require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number obtained from the Customer Service Department by giving the original Purchase Order number.

Returns for Credit  

Standard products returned for credit must be prepaid together with a 25% restocking charge to cover incoming inspection and cleaning and must be received within 2 months of the original order. Custom or non-standard products are non-returnable.

Prices, Taxes, Fees

We aim to provide our customers with competitive prices on the products we offer. All prices are in U.S. dollars, FOB Camden, Maine or Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA, exclusive of federal, state or other taxes and duties. Applicable sales taxes will be added unless a re-sale or exempt-use certificate is received. Prices are subject to change without notice, but are guaranteed to the expiration date of a quotation.

Payment and Financing

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Network credit cards. Customer may also prepay by wire transfer (EFT) or request C.O.D. shipments.  For new customers, the first order must be pre-paid, after which Net 30 day terms may be established, subject to approved credit. Optomistic Products reserves the right to request pre-payment.

Ordering

Orders may be made by telephone, fax or email.  Optomistic Products reserves the right to decline or cancel orders at any time. Notification is via email to the email address you provided when submitting your order. We assume no responsibility for issues resulting from such declines, cancellations, or email notification failure. If an order is processed in error, contact us immediately.

Shipments are by FedEx, UPS or DHL and charges are made to customer’s account number and will include all duties and taxes owed. Lead time from receipt of order is typically 1 – 2 working days; 3 – 5 working days for larger orders.  Delivery time for custom or special orders will be quoted at the time of order.   Customer may choose to have shipping costs pre-paid and added to their invoice, and Optomistic Products reserves the right to charge shipping costs + a reasonable handling fee for this service.
